How Are the NHA Certification Self Study Assessments Developed?
The NHA's National Certifications are designed and developed by medical professionals covering the particular field of study.
The NHA prides itself in the most up to date assessment development process called “psychometrics”. The NHA Self Study Program exceeds all certification and industry standards for reliability, validity and competency, making the NHA the benchmark in healthcare certification. Due to the constant change in healthcare job descriptions and technology requirements, the NHA constantly reviews and amends its examinations and certification requirements every year. New courses of certification are in development and are released periodically.
The basis of all NHA certifications is adapted by the standards jointly of “The American Education Research Association” (AERA), “The American Psychological Association” (APA) and “The National Council on Measurement in Education” (NCME) which is called “Standards for Education and Psychological Testing.”
These standards are based on: Competency, Validity, Reliability, Task Analysis, Survey, and Standard Settings.
*All candidates are required to sit for the National Certification exam at a proctored test site. Exam information will be sent with your Home/Self Study Program.
