1. Applicant must be at least 16 years old.
2. Applicant shall be of good mental health and moral character.
3. Applicant must submit an application ($25) to the pharmacy board.
Renewal
Required
Applicant must submit a renewal application ($25) to the pharmacy board annually by March 31st.
Training
Not Required
Use of The National Pharmacy Technician Training Program is optional.

Only required to maintain certification.
Can the ExCPT be Taken?
Yes
Technicians holding current certification by a board-approved certification program may perform additional duties under proper supervision. ExCPT is approved by the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy.
