Vermont Pharmacy Technician Certification Requirements

1. Applicant must submit an application to the pharmacy board.
2. After application has been submitted, the individual may act as a technician for up to 30 days while awaiting a response.
Applicant must submit a renewal application ($50) to the pharmacy board biannually by July 31st.
“The pharmacy manager shall develop or adopt, implement, and maintain a pharmacy technician training manual for the specific practice setting.” [VT Board Reg. 184.108.40.206]
The National Pharmacy Technician Training Program has been specifically approved by the Board.
Can the ExCPT be Taken?
Certification is completely voluntary. Nevertheless, ExCPT certification provides national recognition of your knowledge and skills and may make you more marketable.
