1. Applicant must be at least 18 years old.
2. Applicant must provide evidence of a high school diploma or equivalent.
3. Applicant must complete a board-approved technician training program or be certified.
4. Applicant must submit an application ($25) the board of pharmacy.

Technician trainees must complete a Board-approved training program. [WV Prac Act 30-5-5a]
The National Pharmacy Technician Training Program covers the topics required by the Board and could be submitted by the pharmacy as a part of its request for Board approval.

Yes
Certification is completely voluntary. Nevertheless, ExCPT certification provides national recognition of your knowledge and skills and may make you more marketable. ExCPT has been approved by the Board.
