Certified Pharmacy Technician, (CPhT)

Technicians who take and pass the ExCPT are granted the title of Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT). 

A Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) helps licensed pharmacists provide medication and other health care products to patients. A CPhT may perform some or all of the following duties. However, they are not limited to just these responsibilities:

• Counts stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records
  
• Mixes pharmaceutical preparations
  
• Fills and labels bottles for prescriptions
  
• Cleans equipment and sterilizes glassware according to prescribed methods
  
• Delivers medications and pharmaceutical supplies to patients, or nursing stations
