Phlebotomy Technician Certification (CPT)

As a CPT, you’ll draw blood from patients or donors in hospitals, blood banks, or similar facilities for analysis or other medical purposes. You may perform some or all of the following duties:    

  • Assemble equipment and disposable containers for needles
  • Test for drug levels in the blood
  • Look for abnormal cells in the body and body fluids
  • Conduct patient interviews and take vital signs
  • Perform basic Phlebotomy procedures

Note: The Phlebotomy Technician Certification program (CPT) is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA).
